What is a Sewer Line Camera?
At Clear Drain Cleaning, we utilize state-of-the-art sewer line cameras to expertly diagnose and resolve problems within your sewer system. A sewer line camera—also referred to as a drain inspection camera—is a high-tech diagnostic tool that allows our team to visually inspect the inside of your sewer pipes and drains without digging or guesswork.
This advanced device features a small, waterproof camera mounted on the end of a flexible rod or cable. Once inserted into the sewer line, the camera transmits real-time video footage of the pipe’s interior, giving our technicians a clear, detailed look at what’s happening underground.
Our sewer inspection cameras are designed to navigate bends, curves, and tight spaces within your plumbing system. Equipped with bright LED lights, they illuminate even the darkest parts of the pipe, making it easier to detect blockages, cracks, root intrusions, and other issues. Their rugged build ensures they can handle the harsh environments typically found inside sewer lines.
The live video feed is displayed on a monitor, allowing our experts to assess the condition of your sewer system on the spot. Whether it’s a clog, leak, collapsed pipe, or buildup of debris, the camera helps us find the root of the problem quickly and accurately—so we can recommend the best solution with confidence.
Serving Holmes County, OH and Surrounding Areas, we’re committed to providing our community with reliable, precise sewer inspections and trusted drain cleaning solutions.
How Does a Sewer Camera Inspection Work?
Our sewer camera inspections are designed to be fast, efficient, and non-invasive. Here’s how the process works:
Camera and Cable: We use a flexible cable fitted with a waterproof, high-resolution camera on one end. The camera’s 360-degree swivel head provides a full view of the sewer line interior.
Insertion and Navigation: The camera is carefully inserted into your sewer system through an accessible cleanout or drain opening. The flexible rod allows it to maneuver through bends and turns with ease.
Illumination: Built-in LED lights ensure the camera captures bright, crystal-clear video—even in dark, confined pipe spaces.
Live Video Feed: The live video footage is displayed on a monitor, allowing our technician to see everything in real time. This immediate feedback helps us detect and locate any problems without unnecessary delays.
Inspection and Diagnosis: As the camera travels through the line, our technician examines the footage for signs of trouble—such as blockages, corrosion, misaligned joints, tree root intrusion, or structural damage.
At Clear Drain Cleaning, we believe in solving problems the right way—the first time. Our sewer camera inspection service gives you peace of mind, with accurate diagnostics and effective solutions that keep your plumbing system running smoothly.

He was polite, quick and professional. We had two clogged drains which he had cleaned out and left our house before 8:45. I would definitely use them again and suggest them to anyone who needs it. Ann GaiserJanuary 21, 2020 AWESOME customer service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They came out the same day and fixed my drain. I can't say enough about this company. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will use them in the future. Thank you for your service. 👍👍👍 Amanda LungJune 24, 2019 Friendly, professional, and prompt. Adam fixed the backup and took the extra time to scope out the main flush with the camera to give us peace of mind that the pipes were in good shape. Kelsey JonesNovember 18, 2017 we have been having issues with water and stuff backing up into our laundry room in the basement. Our company who maintains our septic (ASI) came out and told me to cancel the pumping company that I had coming later that morning. Ken (the ASI man) called Clear Drain for me and set up an appointment for us for 2 hours after he left. Ken told me how amazing this company is and how they will do such a thorough job and that they are priced very well for all that they do. Ken saved me a lot of money and heartache by sending this company out to my house. The gentleman who showed up was so kind, had a great sense of humor (even if he was faking it, I am sure he has heard all of the poop jokes there are to hear), he showed me exactly what needed to be fixed, told me what we can do to keep things moving until we can dig up the spot to our first septic tank, he discovered that we apparently have 2 septic tanks (that was a good laugh), marked in the yard where we needed to dig to have things fixed, told me what the company could do for us but never once pushed anything on me (which makes me want to call them again if we ever have issues). The kind man knew the exact type of tree that I had near the house, was able to tell me about the roots, how often we may or may not to have the pipes cleared, what to ask for in the future so we would know how often to have them cleared. I can't say enough good about these guys, although the issue sucks in the long run, he made me feel not so stressed about it, had me take a picture of the issue so I could show my husband so he would be able to see what is going on. (now I am rambling). I highly recommend this company. They seem to have amazing manners and an even better work ethic.

Benefits of Sewer Camera Inspection
Sewer camera inspections offer a modern, efficient way to diagnose plumbing issues with precision. Here are some of the top benefits of this service:
Accurate Problem Identification
Sewer cameras provide a real-time, inside look at your pipes, allowing our technicians to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem—whether it’s a blockage, root intrusion, corrosion, or a collapsed pipe.
Non-Invasive and No Guesswork
Traditional methods often involve digging or cutting into plumbing blindly. With a camera inspection, we can locate issues without disturbing your yard, floors, or landscaping.
Save Time and Money
By accurately identifying the problem the first time, sewer camera inspections eliminate unnecessary repairs and reduce labor costs. You get faster solutions and avoid repeat visits.
Prevent Future Issues
Even if you’re not experiencing a major backup, a sewer camera inspection can detect early warning signs—like slow buildup, minor cracks, or pipe misalignment—before they turn into costly repairs.
Useful for Home Buyers and Sellers
Planning to buy or sell a home in Holmes County, OH or the surrounding area? A sewer camera inspection offers peace of mind by ensuring the sewer lines are in good condition before finalizing a sale.
Locate Lost Items
If something valuable (like a ring or other item) goes down the drain, a sewer camera can help locate and retrieve it without unnecessary pipe work.
Verify Pipe Conditions
Whether you’ve recently had a sewer line repair or just want to confirm everything is flowing properly, a camera inspection gives a clear visual of your pipe’s current condition.
Fast Diagnosis, Faster Fix
Because our technicians can see exactly what’s going on in real time, we’re able to provide immediate solutions, speeding up the repair process and getting your plumbing back on track quickly.
